Description

This vertical bar graph shows the percentage of First Nations people living on and off reserve in Canada for 1996 and 2006.

The Y axis is measured in percentages and increases in increments of twenty from 0 to 100.

The X axis lists years, from left to right are 1996 and 2006.

Each vertical bar represents 100% of the First Nations population, and is split to show the percentage of the population that lived on reserve and what percentage lived off reserve for that particular year.

In 1996, 42% of the First Nations population lived on reserve and 58% lived off reserve.

In 2006, 40% of the First Nations population lived on reserve and 60% lived off reserve.
