Two sources of error were detected in the Selected Language Characteristics variable of the 2006 Census topic-based tabulation 97-558-XCB2006024.
Persons who reported English and/or French in combination with another language (other than Inuktitut) as their mother tongue were included in error under the category 'Other language only,' instead of being included under 'English and/or French.'
Persons who reported English and/or French in combination with another language (other than Inuktitut) as their language spoken most often at home were included in error under the category 'Other language only,' instead of being included under 'English and/or French.'
The table was corrected and re-issued.
