Notes:

1. Data are available only for those areas for which reliable estimates can be produced.
2. Excludes Indian settlements and reserves in the 10 provinces.
3. 'Atlantic Provinces' includes Newfoundland and Labrador, Prince Edward Island, Nova Scotia and New Brunswick combined.
4. Four regions comprise Inuit Nunaat which means 'Inuit homeland' in the Inuit language. These four regions are: Nunatsiavut in northern Labrador, Nunavik in northern Quebec, the territory of Nunavut, and the Inuvialuit region in the Northwest Territories.
