- Canada's population growth between 2001 and 2006 was higher than the previous
intercensal period.
- Between 2001 and 2006, Canada's population growth was the highest among
the G8 countries.
- The population growth between 2001 and 2006 was higher in most provinces
and territories than during the previous intercensal period.
- Nearly 90% of Canada's population growth between 2001 and 2006 was concentrated
in large metropolitan areas.
