In 2011, Port Moody (City) had a population of 32,975, representing a percentage change of 19.9% from 2006. This compares to the national average growth of 5.9%.

Land area is 25.89 square kilometres with a population density of 1,273.8 persons per square kilometre. This compares to the provincial land area of 922,509.29 square kilometres with a population density of 4.8 persons per square kilometre.
