In 2011, Quesnel (City) had a population of 10,007, representing a percentage change of 7.3% from 2006. This compares to the national average growth of 5.9%.

Land area is 35.38 square kilometres with a population density of 282.8 persons per square kilometre. This compares to the provincial land area of 922,509.29 square kilometres with a population density of 4.8 persons per square kilometre.
