In 2011, Springwater (Township) had a population of 18,223, representing a percentage change of 4.4% from 2006. This compares to the national average growth of 5.9%.

Land area is 536.23 square kilometres with a population density of 34.0 persons per square kilometre. This compares to the provincial land area of 908,607.67 square kilometres with a population density of 14.1 persons per square kilometre.
