- In 2016, 82.3% of people aged 25 to 64 in New Glasgow had a high school diploma or equivalency certificate, compared with 86.3% in Canada.
- In New Glasgow, 17.2% of people aged 25 to 64 had a bachelor’s degree or higher in 2016, while 29.4% had a college, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma as their highest level of education, and 11.6% had an apprenticeship or trades certificate or diploma as their highest.
- In New Glasgow, 11.2% of women aged 25 to 64 with a bachelor’s degree or higher studied STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics), compared with 23.8% of men. On the other hand, 88.8% of these women studied BHASE (non-STEM) fields of study such as business, humanities, health, arts, social sciences, education, etc., compared with 75.3% of men.
