- In 2016, 73.5% of people aged 25 to 64 in Val-d'Or had a high school diploma or equivalency certificate, compared with 86.3% in Canada.
- In Val-d'Or, 15.3% of people aged 25 to 64 had a bachelor’s degree or higher in 2016, while 16.1% had a college, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma as their highest level of education, and 25.3% had an apprenticeship or trades certificate or diploma as their highest.
- In Val-d'Or, 8.0% of women aged 25 to 64 with a bachelor’s degree or higher studied STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics), compared with 41.6% of men. On the other hand, 92.6% of these women studied BHASE (non-STEM) fields of study such as business, humanities, health, arts, social sciences, education, etc., compared with 58.4% of men.
