  • In 2016, 74.6% of people aged 25 to 64 in Elliot Lake had a high school diploma or equivalency certificate, compared with 86.3% in Canada.
  • In Elliot Lake, 12.1% of people aged 25 to 64 had a bachelor’s degree or higher in 2016, while 28.9% had a college, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma as their highest level of education, and 7.2% had an apprenticeship or trades certificate or diploma as their highest.
  • In Elliot Lake, 8.8% of women aged 25 to 64 with a bachelor’s degree or higher studied STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics), compared with 18.8% of men. On the other hand, 89.7% of these women studied BHASE (non-STEM) fields of study such as business, humanities, health, arts, social sciences, education, etc., compared with 79.2% of men.
