- In 2016, 16,640 children aged 0 to 14 and 21,420 persons aged 65 and over were enumerated in Chatham-Kent, representing respectively 16.4% and 21.1% of the total population.
- The working age population (15 to 64) represented 62.6% of the total population. In comparison, for Canada the proportions of children, of seniors and in age of working were 16.6%, 16.9% and 66.5% in 2016.
