Description

This figure shows the age pyramid of Canada in 2011. Three large generations are identified using demographic criteria: the baby boom generation (born between 1946 and 1965); parents of the baby boomers (born between 1919 and 1940); and children of baby boomers (born between 1972 and 1992). Other generations in Canada are also identified: the generation born in 1918 and earlier, the 'World War II' generation (born between 1941 and 1945), the baby busters (born between 1966 and 1971), and the Generation Z (born between 1993 and 2011).
