In 2011, Cantley (Municipalit) had a population of 9,888, representing a percentage change of 24.8% from 2006. This compares to the national average growth of 5.9%.

Land area is 129.96 square kilometres with a population density of 76.1 persons per square kilometre. This compares to the provincial land area of 1,356,547.02 square kilometres with a population density of 5.8 persons per square kilometre.
