- In 2016, 83.9% of people aged 25 to 64 in Summerside had a high school diploma or equivalency certificate, compared with 86.3% in Canada.
- In Summerside, 17.3% of people aged 25 to 64 had a bachelor’s degree or higher in 2016, while 29.1% had a college, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma as their highest level of education, and 6.9% had an apprenticeship or trades certificate or diploma as their highest.
- In Summerside, 5.5% of women aged 25 to 64 with a bachelor’s degree or higher studied STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics), compared with 21.3% of men. On the other hand, 95.0% of these women studied BHASE (non-STEM) fields of study such as business, humanities, health, arts, social sciences, education, etc., compared with 78.7% of men.
