• In 2016, the enumerated population of Kingston census metropolitan area (CMA) was 161,175, which represents a change of 1.0% from 2011. This compares to the provincial average of 4.6% and the national average of 5.0%.
• The land area of Kingston is 1,938.81 square kilometres and the population density was 83.1 people per square kilometre.
• In 2016, there were 67,915 private dwellings occupied in Kingston, which represent a change of 3.0% from 2011.
