• In 2016, the enumerated population of St. Catharines - Niagara census metropolitan area (CMA) was 406,074, which represents a change of 3.5% from 2011. This compares to the provincial average of 4.6% and the national average of 5.0%.
• The land area of St. Catharines - Niagara is 1,397.49 square kilometres and the population density was 290.6 people per square kilometre.
• In 2016, there were 168,485 private dwellings occupied in St. Catharines - Niagara, which represent a change of 5.0% from 2011.
