• In 2016, the enumerated population of Greater Sudbury census metropolitan area (CMA) was 164,689, which represents a change of 1.0% from 2011. This compares to the provincial average of 4.6% and the national average of 5.0%.
• The land area of Greater Sudbury is 3,924.48 square kilometres and the population density was 42.0 people per square kilometre.
• In 2016, there were 70,445 private dwellings occupied in Greater Sudbury, which represent a change of 2.5% from 2011.
