• In 2016, the enumerated population of Yellowknife census agglomeration (CA) was 19,569, which represents a change of 1.7% from 2011. This compares to the territorial average of 0.8% and the national average of 5.0%.
• The land area of Yellowknife is 105.47 square kilometres and the population density was 185.5 people per square kilometre.
• In 2016, there were 7,131 private dwellings occupied in Yellowknife, which represent a change of 2.8% from 2011.
