Population, 2016 and 2011 censuses

• In 2016, the enumerated population of Northern Lights County (Municipal district) was 4,200, which represents a change of 2.0% from 2011. This compares to the provincial average of 11.6% and the national average of 5.0%.
• The land area of Northern Lights County (Municipal district) is 20,755.37 square kilometres and the population density was 0.2 people per square kilometre.
• In 2016, there were 1,538 private dwellings occupied in Northern Lights County (Municipal district), which represent a change of 0.7% from 2011.
