The French spoken at home variable includes persons who reported speaking French 'Only', 'Mostly', 'Equally' with another language and 'Regularly' with a language spoken most often at home, as well as persons who had 'No mention' of French to the language spoken at home question.

The 'Only' category includes persons who reported only French to Part A of the language spoken at home question and did not report a language to Part B.

The 'Mostly' category includes persons who reported only French to Part A of the language spoken at home question and reported at least one language to Part B.

The 'Equally' category includes persons who reported French and at least one other language to Part A of the language spoken at home question.

The 'Regularly' category includes persons who reported French to Part B of the language spoken at home question.

The 'No mention' category includes persons who did not report French to Part A nor part B of the language spoken at home question.
