This table presents the 2016 and 2011 population counts and the 2016 dwelling counts, land area, population density and population ranking, the census divisions and census subdivisions at both the national and provincial or territorial levels by a selected province or territory. It also shows the percentage change in the population counts between 2011 and 2016.

Data table

Population and dwelling counts, for Canada, provinces and territories, census divisions and census subdivisions (municipalities), 2016 and 2011 censuses. This table presents the 2016 and 2011 population counts and the 2016 dwelling counts, land area, population density and population ranking, the census divisions and census subdivisions at both the national and provincial or territorial levels by a selected province or territory. It also shows the percentage change in the population counts between 2011 and 2016. Same-page links within the first column 'Geographic name' will move focus to the map beneath the table. When sorting the table headers (ascending or descending), the page reloads and focus moves to the top of the table.
