Parameters
Six parameters can be added to the main URL. These parameters are for format type, language, geography, topic, footnotes and statistic type.

one dguid (default=2016A000011124) Dissemination Geography Unique Identifier - DGUID It is an alphanumeric code, composed of four components. It varies from 10 to 21 characters in length. The first 9 characters are fixed in composition and length. Vintage (4) + Type (1) + Schema (4) + Geographic Unique Identifier (1-12). To find dguid, use any GEO_UID (i.e., DGUID) returned by the 2016 Census geography web data service. Geographic area note: Global non-response rates and data quality flags associated with a geography are provided by the 2016 Census geography data service. For more information on the DGUID definition and structure, please refer to the Dissemination Geography Unique Identifier: Definition and Structure, Statistics Canada catalogue no. 92F0138M-2019001. |

Resource parameters
- PROV_TERR_ID
- The province or territory geocode i.e., 35 = Ontario.
- PROV_TERR_NAME_NOM
- Name of the province or territory.
- GEO_UID
- The geographic identifier (i.e., DGUID) which include geography boundary vintage, level and code. For more information, please refer to Dissemination Geography Unique Identifier: Definition and Structure.
- GEO_ID
- The geographic code for the geography.
- GEO_NAME_NOM
- The geographic name
- GEO_TYPE
- The geographic area type, if applicable, i.e., C = City. Otherwise, null.
- TOPIC_THEME
- Topic name.
- TEXT_ID
- Text identifier.
- HIER_ID
- Returns a numbering sequence to identify topic, grouping, parent, child relationship of the TEXT_NAME_NOM field. The first digit identifies topic, the second digit identifies grouping, the third and subsequent digits identify the relationship between TEXT_NAME_NOM fields within a topic/grouping.
- INDENT_ID
- Returns the number of indentations for the TEXT_NAME_NOM field.
- TEXT_NAME_NOM
- Text for the data line.
- NOTE_ID
- Footnote number, if applicable. Otherwise, null.
- NOTE
- Footnote text that would accompany the text for the data line, if applicable. Otherwise, null.
- T_DATA_DONNEE
- Data point value for total.
- T_SYM
- Symbol that would accompany or replace the total data point value.
- M_DATA_DONNEE
- Data point value for male.
- M_SYM
- Symbol that would accompany or replace the male data point value.
- F_DATA_DONNEE
- Data point value for female.
- F_SYM
- Symbol that would accompany or replace the female data point value.
