In 2011, Orillia (City) had a population of 30,586, representing a percentage change of 1.1% from 2006. This compares to the national average growth of 5.9%.

Land area is 28.61 square kilometres with a population density of 1,069.2 persons per square kilometre. This compares to the provincial land area of 908,607.67 square kilometres with a population density of 14.1 persons per square kilometre.
