In 2011, Prévost (Ville) had a population of 12,171, representing a percentage change of 20.1% from 2006. This compares to the national average growth of 5.9%.

Land area is 35.05 square kilometres with a population density of 347.2 persons per square kilometre. This compares to the provincial land area of 1,356,547.02 square kilometres with a population density of 5.8 persons per square kilometre.
