In 2011, Brandon (City) had a population of 46,061, representing a percentage change of 11.0% from 2006. This compares to the national average growth of 5.9%.

Land area is 76.89 square kilometres with a population density of 599.1 persons per square kilometre. This compares to the provincial land area of 552,329.52 square kilometres with a population density of 2.2 persons per square kilometre.
