In 2011, Drumheller (Town) had a population of 8,029, representing a percentage change of 1.2% from 2006. This compares to the national average growth of 5.9%.

Land area is 107.93 square kilometres with a population density of 74.4 persons per square kilometre. This compares to the provincial land area of 640,081.87 square kilometres with a population density of 5.7 persons per square kilometre.

In 2011, the number of census families³ in Drumheller was 2,100, which represents a change of 3.4% from 2006. This compares to a growth rate for Canada of 5.5% over the same period.
