In 2011, Spallumcheen (District municipality) had a population of 5,055, representing a percentage change of 1.9% from 2006. This compares to the national average growth of 5.9%.

Land area is 255.77 square kilometres with a population density of 19.8 persons per square kilometre. This compares to the provincial land area of 922,509.29 square kilometres with a population density of 4.8 persons per square kilometre.
