In 2011, Saint-Calixte (Municipalité) had a population of 5,934, representing a percentage change of 4.3% from 2006. This compares to the national average growth of 5.9%.

Land area is 143.36 square kilometres with a population density of 41.4 persons per square kilometre. This compares to the provincial land area of 1,356,547.02 square kilometres with a population density of 5.8 persons per square kilometre.

In 2011, Saint-Calixte (Municipalité) had 2,753 private dwellings occupied by usual residents. The change in private dwellings occupied by usual residents from 2006 was 8.8%. For Canada as a whole, the number of private dwellings occupied by usual residents increased 7.1%.
