In 2011, Stettler (Town) had a population of 5,748, representing a percentage change of 5.6% from 2006. This compares to the national average growth of 5.9%.

Land area is 13.12 square kilometres with a population density of 438.2 persons per square kilometre. This compares to the provincial land area of 640,081.87 square kilometres with a population density of 5.7 persons per square kilometre.
