In 2011, Bay Roberts (Town) had a population of 5,818, representing a percentage change of 7.5% from 2006. This compares to the national average growth of 5.9%.

Land area is 23.92 square kilometres with a population density of 243.2 persons per square kilometre. This compares to the provincial land area of 370,510.76 square kilometres with a population density of 1.4 persons per square kilometre.
