In 2011, Mont-Laurier (Ville) had a population of 13,779, representing a percentage change of 2.8% from 2006. This compares to the national average growth of 5.9%.

Land area is 590.76 square kilometres with a population density of 23.3 persons per square kilometre. This compares to the provincial land area of 1,356,547.02 square kilometres with a population density of 5.8 persons per square kilometre.
