In 2011, Cantley (Municipalité) had a population of 9,888, representing a percentage change of 24.8% from 2006. This compares to the national average growth of 5.9%.

Land area is 129.96 square kilometres with a population density of 76.1 persons per square kilometre. This compares to the provincial land area of 1,356,547.02 square kilometres with a population density of 5.8 persons per square kilometre.

In 2011, Cantley (Municipalité) had 3,419 private dwellings occupied by usual residents. The change in private dwellings occupied by usual residents from 2006 was 24.4%. For Canada as a whole, the number of private dwellings occupied by usual residents increased 7.1%.

Cantley (Municipalité) is part of the census metropolitan area of Ottawa - Gatineau.
