In 2011, St. Andrews (Rural municipality) had a population of 11,875, representing a percentage change of 4.5% from 2006. This compares to the national average growth of 5.9%.

Land area is 752.70 square kilometres with a population density of 15.8 persons per square kilometre. This compares to the provincial land area of 552,329.52 square kilometres with a population density of 2.2 persons per square kilometre.
