In 2011, Newell County No. 4 (Municipal district) had a population of 6,786, representing a percentage change of -1.0% from 2006. This compares to the national average growth of 5.9%.

Land area is 5,904.72 square kilometres with a population density of 1.1 persons per square kilometre. This compares to the provincial land area of 640,081.87 square kilometres with a population density of 5.7 persons per square kilometre.
