In 2011, Kimberley (City) had a population of 6,652, representing a percentage change of 8.4% from 2006. This compares to the national average growth of 5.9%.

Land area is 60.62 square kilometres with a population density of 109.7 persons per square kilometre. This compares to the provincial land area of 922,509.29 square kilometres with a population density of 4.8 persons per square kilometre.
