Data quality- In 2016, 17.0% of adults aged 15 and over living in private dwellings lived alone, 55.2% lived in a couple and 6.5% lived as a lone parent.
- 68.1% of persons living in a couple were married in 2016, while 31.9% were living common law.
- In 2016, the proportion of young adults aged 20 to 34 living with at least one parent was 25.2% compared to 27.7% in 2011.
- In 2016, there were 95 same-sex couples.
- In 2016, among couple census families 51.8% were families without children and 48.2% were families with children.

Marital status, Yukon, 2016
In Yukon, 55.5% of the total population aged 15 and over were either married (38.3%) or living with a common-law partner (17.2%).
The remaining 44.4% were not married and not living with a common-law partner, including those who were single (never-married), separated, divorced or widowed.
