• In 2016, the enumerated population of Winnipeg census metropolitan area (CMA) was 778,489, which represents a change of 6.6% from 2011. This compares to the provincial average of 5.8% and the national average of 5.0%.
• The land area of Winnipeg is 5,306.79 square kilometres and the population density was 146.7 people per square kilometre.
• In 2016, there were 306,550 private dwellings occupied in Winnipeg, which represent a change of 5.2% from 2011.
