In 2011, Brossard (Ville) had a population of 79,273, representing a percentage change of 11.4% from 2006. This compares to the national average growth of 5.9%.

Land area is 45.20 square kilometres with a population density of 1,753.9 persons per square kilometre. This compares to the provincial land area of 1,356,547.02 square kilometres with a population density of 5.8 persons per square kilometre.

In comparison, the provincial / territorial percentages were 7.7% for English only, 78.1% for French only and 12.3% for only non-official languages.
