In 2011, Trent Hills (Municipality) had a population of 12,604, representing a percentage change of 2.9% from 2006. This compares to the national average growth of 5.9%.

Land area is 511.90 square kilometres with a population density of 24.6 persons per square kilometre. This compares to the provincial land area of 908,607.67 square kilometres with a population density of 14.1 persons per square kilometre.
