In 2011, Arran-Elderslie (Municipality) had a population of 6,810, representing a percentage change of 0.9% from 2006. This compares to the national average growth of 5.9%.

Land area is 460.13 square kilometres with a population density of 14.8 persons per square kilometre. This compares to the provincial land area of 908,607.67 square kilometres with a population density of 14.1 persons per square kilometre.
